Four (4) Lessons
Reportedly, regardless of the misconduct of Edna St. Vincent Millay at Vassar College, the
president refused to expel her, because he did not want to be known as the man who "banished a
Shelley on [his] doorstep." Millay enjoyed an early popular success when she published her
"Renascence." This poem was later included with twenty-two other poems, which became
her first volume of published poetry. The Dover Thrift book is a reprint of the original 1917
edition of the work. Besides "Renascence," other poems in this book include
"Interim," "God's World," "The Little Ghost,"
"Indifference," and "When the Year Grows Old."
Package includes study guide, answer keys, and vocabulary quizzes.
